Hey Guys! These last few weeks have been extremely busy! I submitted my LAST assignment for Charter Oak State College’s Cornerstone Course (online) a couple of days ago, and I received my final grade for the Business and Professional Communication class I have been taking at the junior college (on campus). Which, by the way, was my last class ever there! After three years I am finally done!

How Dual Credit Works for Homeschooled Students

It seems my whole family has just been GOING constantly. A couple of weeks ago several of my siblings and I decided to take a vacation, and we ended up in a villa in Jamaica! So…that was awesome! And GORGEOUS!

My family also recently went to Arlington, TX to help with the Texas Home School Coalition conference. My sister, brother, and I got to help out with the Kids’ Convention, while my mom had a booth over in the convention center for Dual Credit at Home…which was great because I haven’t been able to help mom with any of her conferences, so this time I got to run over there during a lunch break and at least see how things were going for a few minutes.

My goal was to have 100 credits before I leave for the summer so that I could get my driving permit. However, that won’t actually happen. I only have four days left before I leave to go to S.M.I.T.E. (Summer Missionary Institute of Training and Evangelism) camp, and I’ve decided I don’t want to chance taking the GRE in English Literature with only three weeks of study in. So, I’ve decided to focus only on studying for the Business Ethics & Society DSST before I leave. I wasn’t actually going to get my driver’s license till August anyway. :/

Right now I have exactly 82 credits. With the three credits from this (Business Ethics & Society) test, I will have 85 credits. Once I get back from my July mission trip, I will take both the Business Ethics and the Literature in English exams as soon as possible. Then all I will have left is five tests and Charter Oak’s Capstone Course before I graduate! We are thinking of going to the graduation in Connecticut on the 31st of December, if I have successfully completed my degree!

I’m super excited about all the opportunities that Dual Credit at Home has enabled me to accept throughout this year. Opportunities such as Bible clubs, Vacation Bible Schools, and Home School Conferences!
