This summer has been uber busy! I’ve been home for a total of 12 days out of the three months!
To kick the summer off my family and a big group of teens from my church stayed at a “camp” for a week called SMITE which stands for the Summer Missionary Institute of Training and Evangelism.
This is where I learned how to tell Bible stories and missionary stories for Bible clubs. After the initial week of SMITE, Uncle Jerry, the leader of SMITE, takes a group of 20 or so teens around the southern states to do Bible clubs for a month. So that was how I spent the first three weeks of June. 🙂 It was amazing!!!
I had to come home a week early because I was flying out two days later to go visit some missionary friends in Queretaro, Mexico. I was able to help with two Bible clubs there, and work on my Spanish!
After I got back from Mexico, I volunteered at the Texas Home School Coalition’s Kids Convention as a leader of a team of 14 kids. In between that weekend and this week I had one week of absolutely nothing to do. So I studied. 🙂
This week I am staying at a friend’s house with a bunch of others who have gone to SMITE camp to help them with their Bible clubs. There are four teams which are each doing four different clubs a day. Next week these same people will be coming to my house to help with the Bible clubs that my sister and I plan in our area.
As soon as next week is over, I will be diving back into studying! I’m looking forward to talking to you then when I resume my dual credit journey!
