You may have already created a bucket list for your life, but have you considered listing all of the incredible things you would like to accomplish before graduating high school? Here is a list to get you started.
If you see any ideas that spark your interest, jot them down and start creating your very own “Pre-Graduation Bucket List”!
1. Visit a third world country. It will teach you compassion and gratefulness.
2. Learn how to tie standard and bow ties. Just because.
3. Learn a sport, martial art or other physical skill.
5. Learn to play an instrument.
6. Learn how to follow a recipe. Find the recipe for your favorite meal, make it and share it!
7. Volunteer at a local ministry or nonprofit.
8. Organize an event: a fundraiser for a needy cause, a baby shower for a Pregnancy Resource Center or a Bible Club in a local apartment complex. Make a difference. Make it happen!
9. Learn how to swim.
10. Create a bucket list for your life.
11. Run a race: a 5K, half-marathon or marathon (for the ambitious among us!).
12. Get your driver’s license.
13. Be the leader of a group. You’ll learn about communication, responsibility and will grow in wisdom as you lead a group towards a worthwhile goal.
14. Learn how to safely shoot a gun.
15. Cultivate a handwriting style you can be proud of.
16. Learn how to make, save, spend and be generous with money.
17. Learn how to paint a room.
18. Learn how to be comfortable speaking to small groups and crowds. Exercising this skill will give you the courage to speak up when you need to.
19. Learn first aid and get CPR certified. This skill could very well save someone’s life!
20. Learn how to change a tire and replace a car’s oil. New privileges come with new responsibilities.
21. Learn how to be responsible for and successfully care for a pet.
22. Make a resume. This will help you see how the training you are receiving now is shaping your future opportunities.
23. Learn how to work with a team. Among other things, you’ll learn how to value others’ opinions and how to be flexible.
24. Plan and take a road trip.
25. Organize a trip to a theme park with a group of your friends. This can be a good leadership-growing opportunity!
26. Study different personality types. You’ll learn what yours is and how to relate better to people that have a different personality than you.
27. Graduate from college. Remember, this is absolutely possible with the help of our dual credit program!
28. Read the Bible all the way through.
29. Learn how to share Jesus with others.
By now, you’ve hopefully jotted down some of your favorites. Now, go get started on putting those ideas into action!
