The summer experience is valuable and comes in all shapes and designs. One conversation that we have had multiple times is talking through why we do what we do during the summer months. Whether it is relaxation from a school schedule or moving to the structure of a summer job there are plenty of things to consider. However you have approached things in the past, we hope to make you think a little about this summer.
The timeframe for starting your student on Dual Credit is going to be unique to your situation. This is college-level material, so getting any of it done before high school graduation is certainly getting ahead of the game. That being said, you know your student and you know what they are capable of.
Going to church is an incredible way to grow spiritually, strengthen your faith, meet friends, and build community. Going to church can also become a duty or something we do to check something off of our list. The first option sounds like a much more enjoyable experience, but I believe it requires a bit more work than just sitting in a pew for an hour and then going home. The future can be scary and it can be exciting. Fortunately, we get to face it with colored pencils and a new planner. Hopefully, you can use these three tips for starting your school year off right!
Reading is one of the most formative things that our children do. Understanding the dangers and the need should prompt a parent to put some thought into it.
I know that we have something in common: We love our kids and want to prepare them to fulfill their God-given potential and have the best future possible.
We can’t delegate our children to someone else. This is true in the classroom, the pew, and the playground. I’m not going to hover, but when anyone asks whose kid this is, I am going to stand up. He’s mine. I’m pretty excited about it.
From virtual basketball camp to online robotics classes things are changing. There are a multitude of offerings that would normally be reserved for on campus or a formal classroom setting that are now being offered to a broader audience.
